We are now looking for a Construction manager

to be an integral part of our new team in Finland. To manage the implementation of the Hedet project, NEOEN is hiring a construction manager, who will be responsible for the construction of a large wind farm project in Finland.

Main duties during the construction phase include planning and preparation, execution, control:

Planning/preparation: HSE, Social & communities plan, Site Access and traffic management plan, EPC logistic plan for equipment and services, Reporting & communication, Approval procedures, QA/QC plan, Project controls, and Documentation management
Execution: HSE Plan enforcement, Site Mobilization, Detailed design (by EPC), Day to Day construction management (coordination of stakeholders), Management of change (variations, extension of time, claims, permitting)
Control: HSE and other compliance items, Design approvals, Quality Control of work achieved (quantity and quality surveys, corrective actions), Time schedule (detailed implementation schedule, critical path, gap analysis, corrective actions), Financials (budget at completion, payment claims), Project reporting

We expect you to have a minimum of five years of relevant experience in managing infrastructure construction projects. It is an advantage if you have technical expertise of renewable energy plants and equipment such as wind turbines, BOP and associated electrical equipment, auxiliary plant and high voltage infrastructure, and successful experience in large EPC contract management.

You have an industrial project engineering background. If you also take wide responsibility, work independently and pro-actively, and possess good management and leadership skills, come and join us. The position is based in Helsinki, Finland, reports to the NEOEN European Operations Director, assists the Project manager (based in France but with frequent trips to Finland) and includes permanent interaction with NEOEN’s Project development in France and very frequent trips and stays to the project site, (approximately 2-3 days a week on-site in Vaasa).
